I, etcetera
As a writer, strategist, and Head of Digital Media at the Whitney Museum of American Art, I am most interested in the intersections between art, visual culture, and the Internet. I launched my first art blog, Forward Retreat, in 2001, and have contributed writing on art and technology to print and online publications including Frieze, Triple Canopy, Rhizome, Art in America, Print, Flash Art, Art Papers, Camerawork and SFist; my recent favorites are linked below. Otherwise, I read printed matter, ride my bicycle, and deliberately disengage from technology whenever possible as a means of preserving my mind from the hive. I live in Brooklyn, New York.
